The Australian Maritime Safety Authority, WISTA Australia, and the Nautical Institute invite you to join us for IMO International Day for Women in Maritime 2024.

We will be joined by John Lloyd, CEO of the Nautical Institute as our introductory speaker. 

Jillian Carson-Jackson M.Ed FNI FRIN, Managing Director of JCJ Consulting, will lead our panellists:

Monika Lemajic, President of WISTA Australia, will provide her closing remarks.

Discussion will focus on how the maritime industry can shape the future of the maritime workforce by creating safe and inclusive workplaces, followed by breakout discussions and networking. Beyond physical safety considerations, this discussion will also explore avenues for creating psychologically safe workplaces.

Together, let’s shape the future of the maritime workforce by championing safe, inclusive workplaces. Join us for an insightful event dedicated to advancing gender equity and fostering a culture of diversity and respect in maritime.

The online event will run from 12 noon to 1.30pm and the in person event at the East Fremantle Yacht Club will run from 11.30am to 3.30pm, and include an additional session for small group discussions.
