  The program will run for six months, from July to December 2025, with a skill-building workshop held each month. It will be supported by a dedicated community platform, providing access to resources, connection, and ongoing support throughout the mentoring journey.

  WISTA Qld invites you to join us for a tour of Smartship Australia's ship simulator centre on Thursday, 6 November 2025.

  The event will include morning tea and a presentation from the Smartship team. After morning tea, we will have a tour of the facilities, including the two main bridges and tug simulator with hands on demonstrations.

  Spaces are limited to 15 people so make sure you register soon!

  Hear from MIAL CEO Angela Gillham as she outlines MIAL’s role as the nation’s peak shipping industry body and its four key advocacy themes driving progress for the sector.

  Senior Policy Advisor (Sustainability and Industry Transformation) Clare Grandison will then discuss the significant decarbonisation regulatory developments over the past year at the International Maritime Organization and what the proposed Net Zero Framework will mean for the industry.
